Build a Professional Portfolio

Be proud of the songs you show to your potential clients

Building a portfolio as a mix engineer can be difficult. But it doesn’t have to be. Let’s face it, it’s hard to convince artists and producers (especially talented ones) to let you mix their music if the songs in your portfolio aren’t at their level or better. All the multitrack songs from Modern Mixing can be used to build up your portfolio. It’s as easy downloading the ones you like, mixing them and then adding them to your portfolio.

Save Time

Start working with paying clients much faster

If you have ever tried to build your portfolio, then you know it’s hard to get artists to let you work on their stuff even if you offer your service for free. This process can drag on for months before you get your hands on some multitrack stems that you are proud to show as a mixing engineer. Then you still have to put in all that time to mix the songs. The goal is to put up a portfolio and use that portfolio to sell your service to clients, and if you want to attract talented clients, you NEED good songs. With the Modern Mixing Multitracks library, you can save yourself months of time searching, so you can spend that time mixing and looking for clients to pay for your service.

Make Money Faster

Reduce the number of free gigs you take on

As engineers, we all want to make money. We work for free so that we can get ahead, but the ultimate goal is to have artists pay for our service. If you have to go out and beg for free gigs, then artists are going to expect that you do things for them for free all the time. Buying a few multitracks and putting together a portfolio will help with that problem. An average low-level mix engineer can easily sell his/her mixing services for $100 a song. If you were to buy only four multitracks to build your portfolio, and you only got one client out of it, you would still make a profit.

Quality

All multitracks are a minimum of 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, but most are 24 bit 44.1kHz

Having come from a background of using (and sometimes even writing) DOS-based Music Composition software in the 1990's and later changing to Windows based solutions, both from the company Voyetra, I was initially apprehensive about buying new MIDI and AUDIO software. After several false starts and expensive disappointments, I came across MultitrackStudio and was pleasantly surprised by both the low price and the fact that it is authored by some of my countrymen.
And then I began to use it for a real project. Hand-on-heart I can say that I have seldom had the luxury of using such intuitive software. I have only begun to explore a few portions of this amazing program, but whatever I touch just seems to work the way I expect it to.
Additionally, it is my judgement that these programmers truly understand the 'bare metal' of the machines the software runs on. Many me-too solutions suffer from unacceptably bad latency, meaning delays between keyboard and sound. Not so, MultitrackStudio. No audible delays. Having, in the past been up close and personal with the real bits and bytes of programming, I know how hard this is to achieve. I can only conclude that these guys truly understand both music and machines.
I recommend MultitrackStudio to anyone, unreservedly.
